Free Issue Materials
Daver Steels offers complete supply or the option for our customers to free issue new or reclaimed materials for projects that require fabricating, welding, folding or drilling. We can tailor services to meet the requirements of your project. Profiles are cut to size requirements by either CNC guillotine, our HD Hypertherm plasma or fibre laser machines. Angles, channels, zeds and more complex sections are cold formed by our CNC press brake.
Please see Services for more details of our individual machine capabilities.
The company holds an extensive number of Weld Procedure Qualification Records, allowing us to deliver a diverse range of welding operations to service our client’s needs, who may require anything from a single run fillet weld on grade S355 carbon steel to a full penetration butt weld on dissimilar metals. We have a number of experienced in-house welding co-ordinators & can also provide in-house and third-party Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) of welds when required.
The welding methods we use are predominately MIG & TIG. Our skilled welders are qualified to ISO EN 9606-1 in processes 111, 131, 135, 136 and 138 and are tested regularly to ensure they remain proficient at producing sound welds.
Using some of the latest MIG/MAG/TIG welding equipment, our workforce has gained lots of valuable experience working with materials such as stainless grades 304 &316, Duplex 2101, 2205, carbon steel grades S275 and S355 as well as welding dissimilar materials. Most recently we have qualified to weld higher strength carbon steel grade S460, which is being favoured more often due to its high strength properties and lighter weight sections.
Daver Steels have also invested in automatic welding equipment, adding a Collaborative Welding Robot, known as the Cobot, to our fleet. This piece of machinery works in collaboration with the welding operator & is best suited to repetitive batches of components. Using this system provides the customer with the following benefits:
Improved lead times
Consistently high-quality welding
Programmed accuracy
Top performance & greater productivity
If you have requirements for small to medium batch orders then the Cobot might be the efficient solution – please contact sales@daversteels.co.uk for further details.
