Project details:
The North Façade of the courthouse comprises of six crescent shaped tubular steel trusses 29m long, which bulge outwards at first floor and sweep up four floors and back over half the roof. Four of the trusses carry glazing panels between their members with cladding between the trusses supported on CHS purlins.
The trusses are stayed and shaped by sets of M24 and M30 galvanised tendons. The tendons are fork to fork connections with left hand/right hand threads for length adjustment. The final lengths are then locked off by the lock covers.
