A fantastic modern football stadium that has won architectural, constructional and steelwork awards for those involved. The scale and shape of the stadium is stunning. The tubular stays and roof trusses are superb features. The line produced by these and the associated tie rods combined with very fine detail of the cladding to produce an outstanding stadium.
Daver Steels supplied all of the M56 structural roof bars. All the bars are fork to fork connectors with a central turnbuckle. These were supplied galvanised, painted and assembled as tendons for erection on site. All of the bars were post tensioned on site to final load by means of stressing cradle arrangement around the fork end and the turnbuckle lock cover.
